The time seems to run the faster the less we remember from certain period of time. If we've got a lot of experience from some period of time (say a month) and almost no experience from another month, then it seems to us that the first month passed by quite slowly compared with the second month.

We remember those events when we are somehow excited. For example if you find yourself in a new place, you are in this "excited state" for a few days and you remember almost everything. Then, when you get used to, you remember only the events which were for some reason a "strong experience".
